Italy market entry for Numberly: a 12-person team, SaaS CDP platform live with real clients, diversified portfolio, run from Milan in 18 months.
Open Italy for Numberly, from Milan, across 2015-2016. Start from zero — no accounts, no team, no local reference — and land an operation that runs: a 12-person team, a SaaS CDP platform deployed with real clients, a portfolio diversified across several verticals. Not a symbolic presence: a subsidiary that does business. *Public context (not attributed to PMF)*: Numberly is a French data-marketing group headquartered in Paris, today operating in more than 50 countries with offices including Paris, London, Milan, Amsterdam, Dubai, Montreal and New York (source: numberly.com).
Launch the Italian operation of a French data-marketing group: go from no presence to a live local team, a diversified client portfolio and a SaaS CDP platform actually deployed in market — on a short horizon, with no local template to copy.
For a SaaS data vendor, opening a country isn't planting a flag — it's running a complete operation fast enough for it to actually exist. By the end of the period: a team in place, a platform deployed with real clients, a portfolio diversified enough to not lean on a single logo. No "growth" speech — a subsidiary that works.
